Colourpop Haul + First Impressions

Hi friends! It's been a while since I've placed a Colourpop order and it was time I did with all the new releases they've been coming out with! There's something new coming out left and right everyday that isn't healthy for my wallet. I love Colourpop because they offer great quality products for the price. I placed my order on Thursday and it arrived two days later. I was surprised by the super fast shipping! They launched some new brow products and restocked their crystal sprays so I knew it was time. Alright let's get into these new products!

They restocked their Crystal Sprays for the second or third time so I knew I had to purchase the two I wanted. I chose the Amethyst priming spray and Aventurine setting spray which were guided more towards people with oily skin.

I was SO excited to receive these little babies and I tried them out the same day I received my package when I did my makeup. However, as much as I hate to say this because I wanted to love these so bad, I don't like them. I have a few issues with them. I expect facial sprays to have a fine mist and these did not. They shot at my face like a water gun and took forever to dry. I had to stand in front of my fan to speed up the drying process which impatient little me was not pleased. The other issue I had with them was that they stung my face. I don't have sensitive skin so that worried me a bit. After it dried, the stinging sensation went away but eh, I don't think I will like these. The only pro was that they both smelled lovely.

They released their brand new Brow Boss Pencils and Brow Boss Gel. I'm a fan of their Precision Brow Pencils to define and fill in my brows. The Brow Boss Pencils are directed for those who need a little filling in or want the natural feathery brow look. My brows are pretty sparse but this worked fine for the front of my brows and I really liked the color dark brown. They also released the new Brow Boss Gel. It kept my brows in place without that crunchy feeling. It might be my new favorite. Also the nude packaging is so pretty!

Colourpop released a set of brushes a few weeks ago so of course I was intrigued by them. I have been reading the reviews on the site and on the youtubez, but all have been pretty mixed. So I decided to just get the Small Fluffy Brush first. The bristles are synthetic and it's on the denser side but it does pick up a lot of product. I used it to apply highlight and it did apply it nicely to my cheekbones. Next time I'm going to try blending concealer with it. I prefer fluffier brushes like the Luxie 522 brush or this Up & Up brush I got at Target but it does get the job done so I have no complaints!

L-R: Colourpop Small Fluffy Brush, Target Up&Up Brush (in a set), Luxie 522 Tapered Highlight Brush
Those were the items I picked up from Colourpop this time around! I need to pick up their new concealers and a palette next. If you haven't purchased anything from Colourpop, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! They have so many great products and I always recommend them to friends.
