August 2017 Favorites

Hi there, everyone! Welcome back to my beauty obsessed world. I can't believe the month of August is already coming to an end. I feel like the month just started. We are approaching the last four months of 2017 and that is crazy to me! All of these are new products that have stood out to me this month. I hope you enjoy reading my mini reviews on my current faves.

Alright, let's get into my favorites for the month of August!
Kokie Professional Lengthening and Defining Mascara - $7.44
1) I've been loving this mascara by the brand Kokie. It's a new brand I saw at Walmart so I decided to try it out. I've been using it for about two months now. It separates my lashes, gives volume, and gives that fanned out look which I love. For the price, it's a great mascara that I think many would love. .
NYX Epic Ink Liner - $7.99
2) I recently purchased the Epic Ink Liner by NYX at Target and I LOVE it! I'm one who likes these pen style liquid liners because it's easier for me to draw on my eyeliner. It is so easy to create the perfect line and wing with it because of the brush. It's so effortless, super black and matte in my opinion. I don't have much to say about it besides run (or drive) to your nearest Target or Ulta and purchase this.
BareMinerals barePro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation - $34.00
3) I decided to purchase the Bare Minerals Bare Pro foundation after all the hype I watched on Youtube. It's a matte foundation so that sold me because I have oily skin. Upon my first impression, I noticed that it is very liquidy and blends well with either a brush or beauty blender. It's lightweight, matte (that actually lasts on my skin) and matches my skin tone nicely so it doesn't look caked on my skin.

OPI Nail Laquer - $4.97
4) I usually love pairing my nail polish to the season. So in summer I like to wear brighter shades. However, I've recently acquired a love for white nail polish! It's difficult to find a white polish that isn't entirely sheer or requires a million coats to make it opaque. I was at Ulta a few weeks ago and found this OPI white nail polish called It's in the Cloud sitting randomly on a shelf as I was waiting in line. Best part was that it was on clearance! White nails are my current obsession.

Loreal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender - $7.99
5) On a whim I purchased the new Loreal sponge because I heard good things on da youtubez. I hated it the first time I used it! I decided to try it again and it's actually really soft, bouncy and blends out my foundation perfectly without soaking too much of it up. I've also washed it already and it has like two tiny tears but it's still fine. I can't justify spending $20 on a Beauty Blender with these inexpensive alternatives.

Adorn EDP Fragrance - $24.00

6) I'm not really one for floral scents and I'll admit that I purchased this only because Kathleen Lights (who influences a lot of my purchases) posted this on her Instagram a while back. It's the Adorn EDP Fragrance in Amethyst sold at Urban Outfitters. I love crystals and Amethyst is my favorite crystal so I had to have it. The notes are Jasmine, Ylang Ylang and Violet. It's not a strong scent so I've been enjoying it for the summer season. It's also pretty inexpensive for a perfume compared to luxury perfume brands.

7) My last favorite is a dress I got at H&M for 10 bucks! I love solids and simple dresses/tops because they're easy to incorporate into any outfit and dress it up or down. This is described as a khaki green on the site. It's a muted olive green and I'm here for it as a lover of green. Especially olive. I also like the high neck/square neckline...not entirely sure what it's called but you guys get it. I know I'll be able to wear this into Fall with tights, boots and a denim jacket.

So those have been the things I've been loving in the month of August! I hope you all enjoyed reading! I also posted some of my current music favorites a few posts behind so check that out! Let me know what you've been loving this past month or summer.
Thank you for reading!
