Winter is here so that means chapped lips! The weather is finally starting to get chilly here in LA and my lips are feeling drier these days. I have three products I use to help me moisturize my lips! Not only are your lips nice and moisturized but also helps lipstick apply/look so much better! I typically do this little routine once a week but I apply lip balm everyday in the mornings and I apply the Aquaphor lip repair at night before bed.
1) I like to use the Fresh Sugar Lip Polish to exfoliate my lips to get off the dead skin from my lips. I massage it onto my lips for about one to two minutes and then I wipe it off with a damp towel. My lips feel so soft and smooth after using this! You can always make a DIY lip scrub to save some money. I’ve had this Fresh Lip Polish for over a year now so it definitely lasts a long time since you only need so little.
Other options: Lush Lip Scrub / Milani Lip Scrub / elf Lip Exfoliator
2) Then I like to go in with the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. The consistency of this is like a really thick lip balm. You can leave it on throughout the day or night but I just leave it on for a few minutes because I don’t like the way it feels for a long period of time since it's a bit thick. It leaves my lips feeling hydrating and soft! It’s a bit pricey but works so if you’re willing to splurge a bit I’d give it a try or just make a DIY mask as well!
Other options: Sephora Collection Lip Mask
3) I’ve really been enjoying this Aquaphor Lip Repair. I did mention this in a monthly favorites post in the past so I won’t go too much in depth about it. But in the mornings my lips feel so much more moisturized and plump. It’s also super affordable and you can get it at any drugstore, Target or Walmart so it’s easily accessible.
Other options: Burts Bees Lip Balm / Smith's Rosebud Lip Balm / Vaseline Lip Therapy
So that’s what I do to keep my lips moisturized! I recently started doing this little routine not so long ago and it’s been working well for me. If you wear lipstick everyday especially matte liquid lipstick, exfoliating and a mask will help a lot. Even just exfoliating and lip balm will work wonders. Your lips will definitely be soft, moisturized (and kissable!) I hope you all enjoyed this little post! Thank you for reading.
