I strongly believe that the tools you use to apply your makeup are so important! If you're using the right tools, any makeup product will apply like a dream. I own a variety of makeup brushes from different brands so I've gathered up my favorite face brushes I use to apply my makeup! Hopefully this isn't too repetitive when talking about the quality of the brushes but rather informative. :)
Morphe M439
This is my go-to brush whenever I want to use a brush to apply my foundation instead of a sponge. This brush blends foundation like a dream. It's extremely durable and doesn't shed. It's easy to grip and you can't beat the price compared to other high end brushes.
Morphe E6
This is my second favorite brush to blend out foundation. It buffs foundation flawlessly as well and like the M439 it is durable and doesn't shed either.
Morphe E8
I recently purchased this brush to use to blend concealer and I'm in love with it! It buffs liquid concealer away to perfection. Your under eye area looks flawless and blends concealer on the face nicely too.
Real Techniques Setting Brush
I've had this little gem for such a long time now. It's small and compact which is perfect for a light touch of setting powder under the eyes or all over. It's fluffy enough to grab product but dense enough to apply a good amount and really sets and keeps your eyes from creasing. It's also good for applying powder highlight!
Real Techniques Powder Brush
My holy grail big powder brush! It's really fluffy, the bristles are gentle on the skin, and picks up a good amount of powder. I just have to dip my brush into the powder and dust it all over my face before setting my face with a setting spray. It's easy to clean, doesn't shed and holds its shape during cleaning.
Morphe M527
This tapered brush is so soft and fluffy to bronze up my cheeks, jawline and forehead. It's fluffy enough to diffuse the color nicely and not look muddy on the face. I also really love these brushes with goat hair bristles.
Luxie 512 Small Contouring
I love Luxie brushes! The bristles are so soft, dense and fluffy enough to blend out powder contour in the hollows of the cheeks. These are great quality brushes worth investing in and they're super cute!
Morphe M523
I purchased this brush earlier this year to use for contouring as well. The shape of this brush really allows you to get into the hollows of your cheeks. It's really soft and dense and applies the product so well.
Real Techniques Blush Brush
This was the first blush brush I ever purchased. It's dense with a tapered end. It does look big for a blush brush but the shape prevents you from applying too much blush and blends out well. This also works well to apply/blend out bronzer.
Luxie 504 Large Angled
I typically love angled brushes to apply blush because they apply blush perfectly on the apples of your cheeks. This one is not too big to go overboard on blush and also soft bristles as mentioned above.
Luxie 522 Tapered Highlighter
When I first got this brush I thought it would be a bit too big for highlight but it packs on the perfect amount of highlight. I prefer this style of brush than a fan brush. It can also work great for setting under the eyes.
Colourpop Small Fluff Brush
This is a pretty standard brush, it's nothing extraordinary but it's great for applying highlight and setting concealer too. The quality is great and doesn't shed. It does have synthetic bristles so it performs well with liquid/cream products as well.
Morphe M501
This brush is so perfect for highlighting! It gives such a precise and intense glow! It packs on product but doesn't leave a shimmery strip on your face! It's very affordable as well!
So those are my must have makeup brushes for the face! I do love a lot more but these are the ones I reach for the most and use on the daily. Soon I'll be gathering my favorite eye brushes so keep an eye out for that! Thank you so much reading.
